Paagan review

2 / 5

Just the story of a wayward youngster who mends his ways and settles in his business as well as in life with his desired girl. There are obstacles that he creates for himself thanks to his selfish money-making ways in the beginning. The novelty aspect is the fact that the story is narrated through the hero's cycle which is his dearest possession.

Cheers
  • Srikanth looks really handsome, dashing and brings out a much improved show compared to his previous movies. This can be counted as his best, in fact.
  • The movie has healthy comedy thanks to Suri and Pandi. The comedy drags at just a few places in the start.
  • As said before, the cycle narration is really novel. It brings a smile for sure. They could have tied up with a cycle manufacturer and made some money. This humble vehicle has been positioned so desirably.
  • The scene of action is filled with greenery which is pleasing (supposedly Pollachi)
Jeers
  • Why did they blast the cycle in the end? Maybe the director didn't have a clue as to how to end the movie.
  • Certain sentimental sojourns after the interval look inserted just for the sake of it.
  • The songs just come as time fillers. Could have been avoided.
Comments
  • Kovai Sarala is typical as always. Loud and funny at times
  • Janani Iyer is strictly OK. Her dressing varies between stylish and downright ordinary.
FINAL WORD
Typical coming of age story of a young man told through his cycle. Light hearted entertainer.
