Friends with Benefits (2011)

This is a typical rom-com (chick flick) where a young pair (friends too) starts off by just having sex without any emotional involvement. It's not long before feelings of love and longing crop up. They get separated for a brief while but in the end, the pair believes that they are made for each other, typically.

Mila Kunis is absolutely ravishing and cute. Timberlake is suave and neat. The film has some nice supporting characters like the gay office colleague, the heroine's wavering mom, the hero's family comprising his Alzheimer's affected father, sister and nephew.

The film has its moments thanks to the above mentioned support characters and the chemistry between the lead. The film has a lot of sex scenes but none of them is steamy or sleazy.

They have even put down other rom-coms, only to end up being yet another cheesy rom-com. Watchable anyway.

FINAL WORD: Just another chick-flick and an antidote for boredom.
